These week long residencies in New York give the artist
access to all facilities, up to $250 worth of film

Der Blog startet mit der Diskussion um das seam carving,

HARRIET CASDIN-SILVER, one of the pioneers of art holography, died 10.03.2008
HARRIET CASDIN-SILVERr was a great and tough lady,
one of the best artists in holography as well.
I met her several times in her studio in Cambridge,
in my first holography exhibition
I showed the piece Equivocal Forks as well.
Time passes by, artists too!

Scientist Emmett Leith took the concept of the hologram

Die erste Wechselausstellung im neuen Haus zeigt Kunst
in Bewegung, Kunst, die kreist, rotiert und angetrieben wird:
von Motoren, Schallwellen und vom Luftzug. Zu sehen sind Kunstwerke,
die mittels Bewegung ihre Erscheinung ständig verändern
und sich sogar - wie von Geisterhand betrieben -
von ihrem angestammten Platz bewegen.
Bewegung in der Kunst macht es möglich, schwer zu fassende
Phänomene wie Mobilität und Monotonie, Raum und Zeit,
Tanz und Vergänglichkeit darzustellen.
International bekannte Künstler und Künstlerinnen wie
Alexander Calder, Christiane Möbus, Robert Rauschenberg,
Jean Tinguely, Günther Uecker, Dieter Jung und andere
versprechen mit ihren Werken eine besondere Erfahrung.
Filme zum Thema und ein begleitender Katalog ergänzen
die Ausstellung.

Al Razutis Canadian iconoclast, artist, media-activist,
who was instrumental in forming two West Coast film distributors,
a short-lived union of Canadian film artists, a production co-op,
magazines on fringe-film and holography.
He has completed some forty-odd films and videos
alongside various performances, paintings, holograms, and intermedia productions.
In Osnabrück Razutis is presenting Amerika a triple-screen version, and in his performance lecture his 3D-video Projections.
