MUSEUM ACQUISITION December 2002 The Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, Bournemouth received a grant from the Shearwater Foundation towards the purchase of Rock Garden: Dorset Markers, a work made up of film reflection holograms and stones by Margaret Benyon. The Museum is particularly interested in collecting work by local artists which have a relevance to the coastal area in which the collection is situated. |

NEW YEAR HONOURS LIST Jan 1, 2000 The millenium year began with state recognition, as Margaret Benyon's name appeared in the New Year Honours list. She was awarded an MBE by HM the Queen for her services to art. |
